Phân tích đề bài IELTS Writing Task 2

IELTS Writing Task 2 cách viết rất đơn giản nếu bạn áp dụng 2 bước sau:

Xác định chủ đề chung của bài viết

Hãy xem câu hỏi sau đây. Chủ đề là gì?

Để chấm điểm bài viết của bạn, giám khảo sẽ xem bạn đã trả lời câu hỏi chưa.

Nếu bạn chỉ trả lời một phần câu hỏi, điều này sẽ làm giảm điểm của bạn cho tiêu chí Task Response/ Task Achievement.

Hãy xem xét cùng một câu hỏi mà chúng ta đã xem xét trong bài trước:

Đa phần bạn sẽ được yêu cầu làm 2 nhiệm vụ trong một bài luận, trong trường hợp này là:

1. Why teenage crime has increased
2. Ways to solve this problem

Bạn PHẢI thảo luận về cả hai điều đó để đảm bảo bạn đã trả lời đầy đủ câu hỏi.

Tránh làm những điều này, vì nó sẽ làm giảm điểm số của bạn trong tiêu chí Task Response/ Task Achievement:

1.  Chỉ viết về lý do hoặc chỉ giải pháp
2. Viết hầu hết về lý do và chỉ một phần nhỏ về các giải pháp (hoặc ngược lại)
3. Viết về lý do và giải pháp cho tội phạm nói chung, và không đề cập đến tội phạm vị thành niên (nhiệm vụ cụ thể của bài)
4. Không nói được lý do cũng như giải pháp

Cho nên rất  quan trọng là bạn phải dành một chút thời gian ngay từ đầu để đảm bảo rằng bạn xác định nhiệm vụ cụ thể để bạn biết mình phải viết về điều gì.

Các loại câu hỏi khác

Câu hỏi trước vừa rồi khá dễ, vì vậy để xác định nhiệm vụ cụ thể không quá khó.

Tuy nhiên, một số câu hỏi sẽ cần suy nghĩ nhiều hơn để xác định đúng.

Đây là một ví dụ khác:

Advances in technology and automation have reduced the need for manual labour. Therefore, working hours should be reduced.

To what extent do you agree?

Một lần nữa, hãy nhìn vào câu cuối để xác định nhiệm vụ.

Bạn phải nói nếu bạn đồng ý hoặc không đồng ý với việc giảm giờ làm việc nhờ sử dụng máy móc, hay nói cách khác, việc  để cho máy móc sẽ tiếp quản từ một số nhiệm vụ của con người.

Bạn cũng phải cho  biết  bạn đồng ý hoặc không đồng ý đến đâu

Giả sử bạn muốn xem xét cả hai mặt của vấn đề. Do đó, bạn cần thảo luận về lý do tại sao bạn đồng ý và lý do tại sao bạn không đồng ý. Hoặc nói cách khác:

1.  Những lợi thế của việc giảm giờ làm việc
2. Những nhược điểm của việc giảm giờ làm việc

Và tất nhiên trong phần mở bài hoặc kết luận, bạn cần làm rõ ý kiến của bạn là gì.
